Hillary Clinton has launched an attack on Nigel Farage, Brexit and the British people in a shocking interview that really only makes one thing clear – she’s so far out of touch with ordinary people.
Clinton criticised Farage (http://www.lbc.co.uk/radio/presenters/nigel-farage/hillary-clinton-says-she-hates-nigel-nigel-tells-h/) for getting involved in Donald Trump’s election campaign and accused him of spreading “a really horrible lie”, i.e. that Brexit was the best thing for Britain.
She’s also essentially said Brexiteers are blinkered and closed-minded, by saying they voted Leave because it was “best for their small village” and that it “made no sense”.
And then, in the clearest indication yet that she still can’t get her head around the fact she lost an election because she was deeply unpopular and her politics were outdated, she harped on about Russian involvement in the election.
She told the Sunday Times: “He (Farage) came to the US to campaign for Trump and spent half of his remarks insulting me in a very personal way and talking about Trump as the alpha male, the silver-backed gorilla. Think of those images and what that says about what’s acceptable and what’s not.
“Brexit should have been a bigger alarm than it was. It was some of the same people working for Trump, advocating for him. They thought, ‘Hey, we’ve got this figured out, just tell a really horrible lie over and over again, keep people off balance and make them think that this will, if not make their lives better, make them feel better.’
“They voted against modern Britain and the EU, believing that somehow this would be good for their small village. It made no sense. The same thing played out in my race, but I didn’t think we were so vulnerable. But it turned out we were wrong — in part because the Russians played a much bigger role.”
Nigel responded on LBC with (http://www.lbc.co.uk/radio/presenters/nigel-farage/hillary-clinton-says-she-hates-nigel-nigel-tells-h/): “None of it’s her fault. In fact she’s never, ever got anything wrong in her entire life.
“It’s because of horrible, awful, vile people. People who were behind Brexit, who then dared to get themselves involved in the American elections.
“I’m looking forward to reading a bit more of the book, on sale for £20. It’s called ‘What Happened’ but should, perhaps be called ‘The Great Big Whinge.'”
There’s a sore loser, and then there’s Hillary Clinton. Sad.
