it gives you raw data and haplogroups, the only thing it doesnt give you is health reports. but all ancestry reports and haplogroups are part of the ancestry reports. but im not too sure about raw data, ask first about raw data but for sure it gives you haplogroups neanderthal percent and dna family etc.

It probably gives you raw data I mean why wouldnt they. Im not interested in health reports just the ancestry part of the test and I only want to buy the ancestary part I just have to have confirmation that it includes Both haplogroups and raw data along with the autosmal

So does anyone know for sure if they include raw data on the 99 dollar 23andme kit

Those things are a scam. You should compare your cranial structure, hair and face to each ethnicity from europe and you'll get to a conclusion much faster.

Yes they give you raw data.

23andme is not worth it..

Yes it does. 23andme autosomal is worth it imo although the haplogroups aren't in much detail, the raw data is also good as it tests more SNPs than lets say Ftdna family finder

if you cared so much about your y-dna you wouldn't buy a 23andme kit in the first place

It's not a scam it is actually pretty accurate and has millions of customers worldwide. To me both phenotype and autosomal DNA is important

I want both autosomal and YDna and i want it on one test for a reasonable price I don't want to spend 200 dollars for ydna on FTdna

Yes.
It's worth it simply for their website. The interface is user-friendly, relevant, and makes it super-easy to figure out exactly how you are related to your DNA matches.
I think it takes too long though.

It's 4-8 weeks wait correct? Have you done it how long did it take for your result?

They told me it would take 6 weeks, it took 8.
You might be patient to wait this long. I'm not!

What will you do when you become pregnant. You'll have to wait 9 months to pop the kid out.

Somebody asked me once..
Aren't you worried about these companies cloning your DNA and framing you for crimes?

Do you know how easily they can get your DNA and clone it even without you knowing it?

Do you really think that your DNA info is safe just because you refuse to give it?

For 99$ it is a good deal. I had to spend nearly 200$ to get mine...

You will get your ancestry results and your haplogroups.

Don't worry about the health reports. There's this website called Promethease where you can upload your raw data once you have your DNA raw data from 23andme and it will give you all the health reports and predictions in great detail (the best part: it costs only 5$).

Why u say that?'

Because we are Ydna freaks :D

But now i see that its 100$... Its cheap now, maybe might be worth for fun. Whats up with your Y str marker test, you yet need to confirm your I2a1b

Just saw this now after the thread was just bumped.
