Let me explain it this way:

NW Sicily has roughly 12% of Germanic y-dna, so given the little to no Germanic mtdna, say this is 6% of autosomal input. NW Sicilians have about 10-15% North European input overall. Before the Norman input, NW Sicily was almost entirely inhabited by people with almost NO north European input -- Sardinian-like natives from the Neolithic mixed with North Africans and Levantines. Their low North Euro today already includes the Norman input, and before it they had less.

The rest of Sicily had Italics, Greeks, etc. and because of this, always had higher North Euro input, roughly 10-17% depending (highest in SE Sicily with the most Doric input). NW Sicily only has the same amount as the rest of the island now because Norman input brought it up, before that, that part of the island was very heavily MENA (and you see based on autosomal results now, it still is).

They are closer in those calculators to Algerian and Moroccan Jews than to the Greek average, so this shows some distance to Greece and elevated exotic admixture.

Absolutely, but those are other similar Jewish populations. The next distinct populations are Sicilians, Greeks, Italians, Cypriots

I think Sicilians are overall genetically more akin to different Jewish groups and are clearly differentiated from mainland Greeks.
