There has long been a reeducation process underway among us to force the ejection of the common wisdom that the political middle as well as the rightwing spectrum belong to the essence of a pluralistic and democratic society . Those who are truly decent, like Sarrazin, are being scandalized by interjections throughout the country that politically have an unmatched shift to the left behind them. The mechanisms that play a role in this are recognized by all of us even though one cannot think as criminally as the political mechanisms function in reality.
In this context, a report from the Interior Secret Service AIVD has come to us from the Netherlands that without doubt and ideological deceit names the true political processes.
Since the fundamental conditions in the Netherlands and in German could be considered equivalent, here is the translation of a corresponding article from the TELEGRAAF on November 3, 2010:
“Leftwing much more dangerous than right”

The threat coming from rightwing extremists has almost disappeared. So says the General Information and Security Service (AIVD, Dutch Secret Service) in a report presented yesterday (Nov. 2). In contrast, the real threat comes from leftwing organizations such as the Anti-Fascist Action (AFA) and the Collective Anti-Fascist and -Capitalist Archive (KAFKA), according to the Secret Service. According to the Service, these leftwing clubs employ methods that “violate democratic rule of law.”

The Secret Service classifies AFA and KAFKA overall as dangerous: “AFA is prepared to take the law into their own hands against racism and fascism, with or without violent confrontations. Thus AFA goes into action where the State ‘appears to have neglected’its duty in which rightwing extremist manifestations, for example, have been tolerated. When such demonstrations take place, AFA regularly intervenes with violence or has others do so. This violence then gets pinned on the rightwing demonstrators and used by the AFA as an argument for having demonstrations banned,” according to the AIVD.

A well-known tactic of leftwing extremists is the instigation of foreign youth to interrupt rightwing demonstrations violently, as the Secret Service previously communicated. Local politicians are also pressured into forbidding rightwing demonstrations.

The KAFKA research group is also considered as dubious by the Secret Service: “The group strives in conjunctionwith the AFA to ban anything coming from the public that is deemed to be rightwing. In this antidemocratic effort, both groups employ undemocratic methods such as violence, incitement to violence, intimidation and the hiding of their own identity and true intentions.”

That the real threat coming from the rightwing sector is smaller than often thought springs from the image that AFA and KAFKA foster, according to the Secret Service. According to the Service, they intentionally exaggerate the danger coming from rightwing extremism.

“Thus they derive their right to exist from the threat that comes therefrom and foster the image that this threat is great and growing,” according to the AIVD, who emphatically disputes this image. The number of active rightwing extremists is falling when follwing the AIVD statistics. Three years ago their numbers were estimated at 600; in the meantime, their number has fallen to below 300.

At the beginning of the year, the Secret Service informed of the practices of AFA in a letter to all the mayors in which false pretenses are undertaken to compel local administrations to ban the assemblies of parties that are in their eyes “rightwing.” “If AFA receives information about a demonstration planed by rightwing individuals, somebody appears at community administrations and before owners of convention centers and warns of material damages that could arise from such demonstrations. However, ensuing damages are usually the rule with counterdemonstrations by AFA,” the Secret Service siad.
