No, he was half abo and looks it. He was born to a German father and aboriginal mother then adopted by a German Missionary.

I think on AHF Michael Mills wrote that Kulessa can pass as Aboriginal, not that he is Aboriginal.

This guy, Aden Ridgeway, is actually a mix of Aboriginal and European:

There was another thread where someone posted something about him actually having aboriginal ancestry and detailed his ancestry. I can't remember the thread title but he looks obviously mixed to me.

I think he was just a German-speaker of Masurian ancestry.

Kulessa is actually a Germanized Polish (Masurian) surname:

Kulessa is a Germanized version of Polish Kulesza.

It is well known that mix of Australoid and European produces kind of Indian looks. Here in RO he would be a less than typical Gypsy, since latter, like all NW Indians, tend to have very soft features.
