''Pass'' in which sense? Superficially maybe even the mixed looking ones could pass somewhere since none of them is blatantly Amerindian.

But if you ask how many would ''fit'' in Europe I would say around 12 or 14.

First column: Messi, Higuain, Dybala and number 6 would fit in Southern Europe.
Second column: All can fit IMO.
Third colum: Only Rojo and Garay cannot fit as typical in some European ethnicity.

I never met in real life a single Argentinian who couldn't pass in Europe. Despite what genetics says, Argentinians look heavily European.

yeah i meant something like fit.

Thanks for the detailled response.

Despite what genetics says, Argentinians look heavily European.

Actually Argentine genetic studies have heavily populated areas like Buenos Aires and Santa Fe as 76-82% european. All of them.

Its the people in the internet who magnify the euro results of small provinces like Salta or Jujuy because they dont know the importance of those provinces.

Heavily Euro = Buenos Aires + Santa Fe + Cordoba + Entre Rios + La Pampa = 66% of Argentine population

Heavily Amerindian = Salta + Jujuy = 5% of Argentine population

Done :)

I think, however (and I haven't been to Argentina, but judging by videos, pictures, movies, etc, plus genetic/census studies) that at least 60-70% of the Argentinean population, if not more, could easily pass in Europe (many of them in lots of European countries), and that in the other 30-40% or less, there are lots of Euro-mestizos.

It happens that in football, the Argentinian lower classes and medium lower classes are over-represented, and still 10-12 out of 18 players could easily pass in Europe.

I'd say 15 of them can pass in Europe, mainly in Southern Europe.

I'd say 13 - some as typical others as atypical.

Only 2 to 3 could pass (as a atypical) Northern Europe.

I think many of the lighter ones could reasonably pass in many European countries, including France, Britain, Belgium or Central Europe. Not necessarily as typical, but at least being able to pass reasonably unnoticed.

But even them would fit better in southern Europe, of course.
