I have been looking at various Autosomal results and I am puzzled why Italians have significant MiddleEastern ancestry. Italians here all have more than 30% MiddleEastern admixture while many other mainland European ethnic groups have 10-25% MiddleEastern admixture. The occupation of Spain never had a huge genetic impact on the Spaniards and the Islamic invaders could never conquer mainland Italy, most of the MiddleEastern component here for Italians must be from Neolithic Farmers.
https://www.eupedia.com/europe/autosomal_admixture_frequencies_by_country.shtml Most of the South Asian component is Gedrosian. The rest of the South Asian component must be 20-30% Dravidian Caucasoid and the rest Indigenous non-Caucasoid Onge/Adavasi.
. European and Middle Eastern ancestry together make up the 'Total West Eurasian' admixture.
