They look exactly like what they are, imo. They look sicilian. Easily pass as Greek, I guess

The closest people genetically to southern Italians are Ashkenazim, Greek islanders (like Crete, Rhodes, etc) and central Italians so it would make sense that Spaniards are further away. Which is closer between Spain and Lebanon is another matter -- genetically they are equidistant if not slightly closer to Lebanese.

In my opinion more close to spanish than lebanese

My opinion is, if we include ALL Greeks and not just islanders:

Jewish > Greek > Lebanese/Spanish tied.

It's difficult because they look what they are as others have pointed out but I would say; Jewish, Greek, Spanish, Lebanese. I realize that these populations have a ME admixture but I guess they look too Western to make the comparison.

Meant to say MENA admixture in Sicilians as Skeliot points out in these posts and was really referring to Sicilians not Greeks or Spanish.

Overall Cypriot Greeks not even sure they fit as East Aegean Islanders. To me not mainland Greece. Facial features are different.

I think it makes sense that Sicilians and Calabrese look like both Cypriots and Dodecanese. I think other southern Italians look less like this though.
