I think it is more common in Southern and Western Germany when compared to Northern and Eastern Germany.

Med type almost does exist in Germany, in southern Germany is common Alpine type and not Med.

Using a five type system (see my signature) Mediterranean is probably last in numbers but not absent.

"Pure" Mediterrenean type barely exists there, but Atlanto-Med/Pontid race is quite frequent in Western and South Germany.
