The number of babies born in 2016 was approximately 13,000 higher than in 2015. This year's increase in the number of births is expected to be even greater and reach 25,000-35,000. This increase in the number of births can be – at least in part – ascribed to the "Family 500+" programme. Concerns expressed by the critics of the programme have proven unjustified – money received as benefits is not wasted and it has not deterred beneficiaries from working or seeking employment.

Poland used to have a really high fertility rate, like spain or portugal. It only went lower than 2.0 in 1994

That's nice but to boost fertility rates governments should give direct cash incentives if native ethnic women have more children.

Birth of real european citizens is very low everywhere, some countries are starting to take countemeasure evntually!!
Our lefty governament in Italy should do the sama but they want SSA as new citizens instead!!

That's nice but to boost fertility rates governments should give direct cash incentives if native ethnic women have more children.

This government has already established a program where couples for having 2 children receive 500 zlotys (~125€) every month, and it's get higher with every new child (3 children - 1000 złotys, 4 children - 1500 złotys... et cetera). It's quite helping especially the poorer part of population, and increases birth rates a bit. We need more programms like this to completely fix our population problems though.

We have to surprass Germany in population to survive. Otherwise after they finally create their EU Army and change the EU into a centralized state, we will lose our independence again.

Nobody knows what will happen. The only EU ideas we can see are futher centralization ideas - more common laws, more ideas of Westerners maving more influence, and even ideas for the EU army, to preoccupy potential states not willing to obey. This is a real threat to Polish independence.
