He looks Armenian to me, but he can pass in southern Italy. Surprised he is Apulian though. I associate this look more with Calabria or Sicily. Apulians are often the "light" southerners.

Well, Ihave a property (my parents) in Salento, southern Apulia, I go there twice or more a year and I can tell you that they are not light southerners lol, they are like any other Southern European, check the actor Emilio Solfrizzi from Bari, he is the archetipical apulian, or a cool comedian, Paolo Noise, born in milan of apulian parents just to name a few. I strongly believe all southern europeans have similar charachteristics and are in the same range of variation of features and coloring.

to me Chiellini is just a dinarid, plus I can't see the semite element in the apulian guy, most likely in that photo he is tanned
