He came from a Jewish family
but has received classical Hellenic culture since Anatolia at that time was Hellenic.
I think he was from the tribe of Benjamin.

Ι think originally they were 'Semites' (Assyrian-like) mixed with Anatolian 'Indo-Europeans' (Hittites, Luwians), who were probably more 'native' (comparatively). Then we have a Persian, later a Greek element, at least culturally/linguistically and the Turkic migrations from Central Asia, which certainly affected that region, so I don't know what someone means today.
I would suppose that at 500 BC, for example, they were Armenian-like.
