Could Myanthropologies have originated in a different place than most Afghans?

My autosomal DNA is very typical for that of Afghans indeed, indicating that my ancestors have been there for quite some time. However, both my y-dna and mtdna are not common among Afghans. My y-dna is at least found in SOME Afghans, but all I could find about my mtdna (U8b) is that it is found in modern Italians, Jordanians, and Basques. Also, it may have originated in modern day Northeastern Italy. Could it be possible that my very ancient ancestors were part of a smaller or more solo migration to modern day Afghanistan rather than being part of the large, mass migrations that most descend from? And maybe the reason the isn't traceable in my autosomal dna is because of how long ago that was? Also, if anyone has any information on U8b, please share. Not much info is out there on it.

autosomally, I am pretty similar to other Pashtuns from all areas, Pamiri Tajiks, Afghan Tajiks, etc. When I was placed on PCA plots, I plotted roughly in between Kalash and North Caucasus populations. Haplogroup wise, I have pretty rare haplogroups. I totally expected to be r1a1, but I'm not. My guess is either that there just isn't good enough sampling from the regions my parents are from (which, my parents come from separate afghan tribes and regions), and that I my very well be the first person to be tested from their regions. My other guess is that my very ancient ancestors could have came from a different place, and got assimilated into the local population, hence my autosomal similarity to other afghans depsite my haplogroup dissimilarity.
