Yes, I've only seen Ice and Hail due to low temperautes, but Snow in the street or snowing, I've never seen in my entire life.

I've come across this thought because tonight the temperatures here in Portugal are going to reach negative numbers, but this is not uncommon during December-January, but the true is that it never snows in Portugal with frequence except for Serra da Estrela and Gerês where I've never been. :(

It snowed in the Lisbon region in 2006. Where were you?

As for the rest of the country it snows every winter in Trás-os-Montes region.

Born in the mid '90s. Global warming is a bitch. I still have seen some snow at least. Though the last snow in Belgium, true snow I mean, was in 2012 I believe. You're probably from a warmer part of Europe.

Serious cold is still in the far east. I wonder if global warming is gonna stop it from coming west this year?

It get below freezing where I live at night this time of year and it snows several times a year. Does Portugal have any mountainous regions that it snows for like for winter activities like skiing?

I'm not saying that's your case (clearly not) but what's the problem to live in a country without too much snow? It's better, no?
Many people here perceive ''snow'' as being an ''European'' thing, like mountains, forests etc. hahaha. I have seen even discusions about it between Italians and Iberians to prove which group has the most ''European'' topography and climatic zones in their countries.

The most snowy place I have been was in North India/Nepal though, far more colder and snowy than most of Europe. :)

Because I never saw snowing or snow in my life. I would like to experience and it seems nice to play in and with the snow. And I always liked the landscapes with Snow or Christmas related landscapes.

I don't live in Europe (although predominantly european genetically) but I can feel you.
I saw snow 2 times in my life. It snows every winter only in the far north mountains (the border with Lebanon and Syria), I live next to the Mediterranean sea, and it never snows here, We barely have 14 days of rain a year, you can tan during winter, and I still put my air conditioner on cold.

Atleast I know that when I'll leave (in few years) I'll have snow every year :)

While most of Portugal is currently experiencing strong winds and lower than average temperatures, residents in the Serra da Estrela in central Portugal have seen roads shut down due to heavy snow falls.

It snows more in the Southern Italian city my great grandparents were from then it does in Tuscany. They were from L'Aqulia which is quite mountainous and about 50 miles from Rome. They have a popular ski resort there but last year a hotel in that region got covered by an avalanche and many people died.

It is all relative. Snows in Israel also.

Even in countries like Egypt where the the Western Desert is Covering 68 percent of the land, which it mostly a flat, sand- and gravel-covered, barren wasteland that rarely exceeds 600 feet (200 meters) above sea.
