They are based on modern references. Paleo Balkan is Kosovars, and Albanians from Tirana. I suppose it models for best fit.

depends where, on the east coast the so called native americans are heavily euro admixed. The natives on the west coast or in central U.S are proper Indians( in the american sense)

Download "R" software; download DiyDodecad 2.1 software; download the calculator files and place them and your 23andme raw data in the diydodecad2.1 folder...

Then in R type these three commands separately:
setwd('c:\\wherediydodecadfolderislocated')
source('standardize.r')
standardize('yourrawdataindiydodecadfolder.txt', company='23andMe')

Then open Windows command prompt...Then cd to diydodecad2.1 directory...Then type: diydodecadwin admix.par

And that's it

Mlucas. Thanks for the updated calculator. I'm curious if you changed references for the munda component. My south indian decreased by 8% and munda increased by 5% and I got 3% tibeto burman. I think some of the south indian went to tibeto burman so that explains why my south indian decreased but I'm not sure why my Munda increased. It seems like south indian shifted into munda as well.

Kingjohn.. I found on Eupedia post of Swedish user about his K25 result.


I got 0.0% scandinavian and im from northern scandinavia! Instead i got 62.3% northwest european and those numbers i usually get on other calculators for scandinavian.
The baltic at 26.3% looks right.
The other numbers i got where 10.1% central asian and 1.3% siberian & amerindian which i get on other calculators in various numbers. So a big miss on the scandinavian with this calculator.

This is why you don't score any North Euro o in Kurd calc. He underestimated Germanic components.

but look my father celtic is higher than me im 1,9% and he is 4.15%
he also score only 0.3% lower scando germanic than me i am 3.10% and he is 2.77%

look how high is iranian 10% and i got those alleles from him since i score 8-9% iranian that is also in line with kurd k29 i score southcentral asia there 4-5%

Despite it not being exactly the same run, Endovelico and my grandmother primarily differ on Celtic (she has more), Baltic (she has more), Caucasus (he has more), and Cushitic/Omotic (she has 5%+ combined, he has very little of both).

The Cape Verdean ancestor was probably about 20% African or so. I am wondering if there was French or British mixed in there though, not fully Portuguese. There were French families in Fogo and Brava, the most well known being the Montrond family who came from France.

It is really sad that there aren't any public datasets with Portugese genomes. Really. We have all Spanish regions (with Basques about 250 samples from few studies) but not single mainland Portugese sample;/
