Come on, girls! The men on this forum are having much fun admiring their ideal eye candy, so I reckon we should too!

Shall I start? :D

Sean Connery, my favourite 007 man

http://www.ruggedelegantliving.com/a/images/Sean.Connery.007.jpg

Steve McQueen, a wild boy in his time, and good looking in that rugged fashion!

http://www.kipaddotta.com/images/steve-mcqueen.jpg

Paul Newman, with his baby blues

http://cache.defamer.com/assets/images/1/2008/06/paul-newman.jpg

My favourite guitarist of all time, Jimmy Page. Must have something to do with how he played it! :D

And finally, an Australian I couldn't resist adding in! Hugh Jackman

My favourite pic of Burzum. He doesn't look like that any more :(

I'm not able to post pics at this time, but I hope to soon! But, I just had to put in my two cents! Gerard Butler, from Phantom of the Opera, and Dear Frankie, and Beowulf and Grendel is smokin' hot!! :D I've also had a huge, fat crush on Gary Oldman ever since he did Bram Stoker's Dracula, when I was a teenager. Daniel Craig is pretty cute too. Have any of you seen Excalibur? Nicol Williamson, who plays Merlin is so studly! I've also really liked Mel Gibson, especially when he was younger. I've also had a crush on Dave Mustaine, the lead guitarist, and vocalist of the heavy, speed, thrash metal band Megadeth. \,,/ Also, Liam Neeson. How could I forget the man who played Rob Roy! :D

Well, that's probably enough for the time being! lol I may come up with more!

I see younger women here prefer "baby faces" whereas 30+ women tend to go for more masculine looking men... :) That's a general observation of course.

For the record, I don't like baby faces (never did). I also like facial hair on a man. :)

Geez no Cythraul, it wouldn't make you gay at all! I think it's good to be able to recognise and appreciate aesthetic beauty when one sees it, regardless of the gender of the person. :)

I completely agree with you, it is utterly depraved and it is a sickness like a cancerous tumour on society’s body every time you acknowledge the looks of a fellow man! Shame on you repent or you shall be purified in the purgatory for eternity!

I agree with you. There is a huge difference in preference for women aged less 30 or more. The best is to find a 30 years old girl like you. :)

Reminds me of the "do women like bastards" thread on Skadi some months ago. Pretty interesting by the way.

So if you go for masculine type with facial hair, you may like Brad Pitt ?

You think I didn't know that? What has been omitted here is how long the Tatars have lived in Luthuania. If I may recall, the Huns were also Asian before their migration to Europe. So save your breath.

...but clearly Bronson is genetically heavily Asian. I know that there are many groups of people that have lived in areas considered European for a long time that have origins elsewhere and that doesn't change that they came from elsewhere.

Not genetically, unless of course you've seen his test results. Visually, yes, but one needs to look at Hungarians as a good example of Asian settlers in Europe.

Hungarians are not Huns and not Asians. They originated on the European side of the Urals and are Finno-Ugric, like the Finns and Estonians. The Tatars are Muslim, Asiatic and endogamous, rarely intermarrying with Europeans because of religious proscriptions.

They are visually Asiatic because they are Asiatic. Nothing could be simpler.

The other week, my flatmates and I had this discussion. Or should we say - the girls from upstairs were down and had this discussion. After collective, male counseling we decided to contribute.

After some pondering and brainstorming, we decided that if we were girls we would go for Gordon Ramsay, because:

- He can cook
- He has the money
- He is outspoken and direct
- He is funny
- No one dares to mess with him
- He has a son whom he takes out fishing regularly, and three daughters to whom we could give fashion tips
- He doesn't show off about having money
- He has a failed-musician father
- He used to be a footballer, trying out for Rangers at a point (wanna-be WAG glory FTW :D)
- He's been acquitted of several charges, so has the pull of danger, but always knows how to get himself out of trouble
- He could take us to a different one of his restaurants every day of a fortnight
- And last but not least is honest about the fact that he's going to cheat. :tongue

Theoretising about being female, we also thought that perhaps as girls we wouldn't find his looks a turn-off, as every woman would like a rugged man of 43, but that this was secondary, because it's all about a "general aura and appearance". His having a wife we considered to be an obstacle, but not a hindrance, as we would know how to wrestle him from her. :tongue

We did unanimously agree that we would be very bitchy about him never tucking his shirt in and would mention this already at the breakfast table. :wink

:wink

Hungarians are not Huns and not Asians. They originated on the European side of the Urals and are Finno-Ugric, like the Finns and Estonians. The Tatars are Muslim, Asiatic and endogamous, rarely intermarrying with Europeans because of religious proscriptions.

Erm, yes I am aware of differences in Hungarians, but as Karl stated, it is only their language that is Finno-Ugric.

They are visually Asiatic because they are Asiatic. Nothing could be simpler.

Many thanks for your contribution.

Well quite understandable that you wouldn't be generally attracted to a man 20 years your senior when only 18. That may change with time though. It most certainly will I will wager. :)

It's a figure of speech (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperbole) in this case - the meaning is not literal.

Okay often people who are older have more wisdom of life but not everyone and some older people use it as a killer argument if they have no other arguments and if they see that the younger person is right

Correct, I have seen it employed as such a defence method. However, there will always be some truth to it. In the olden days wisdom of age was respected by the young, and in many cultures it still is. These days, however, it is lacking.

Very true. I now know how my father felt whenever I was going through my teens when I thought I knew it all.

I think that Adolph Galland was a handsome man in an unusual way. He was the best flying ace in the Second World War, even the Allies knew of him and respected him. I think that he was a man to be admired for all that he overcame in his youth, and the multiple times that he walked away from crashes that should have killed him. He also did not have full vision due to a plane crash. I don't care if he was on the side of the Nazis, he is still a worthy person to think well of.

When I was a cadet at Norwich University in Vermont, USA, I had the good fortune to be able to attend a speech given by Herr General Galland in the spring of 1977.

I remember that his English was excellent. Our University President (a WW 2 Army Infantryman) introduced him as an old adversary, but a new friend.

He spoke of his experiences, the development of air power since the war and his thoughts about the future.

I was honored to have been invited to a reception for him afterwards and got to exchange pleasantries in the reception line. Even at 65, his bearing was erect and his manner was, gently charismatic.

To this day, I believe he was a true warrior who fought for love of country rather than for ideology.

He's not, he's descended from French Hugenots who settled in Westphalia in 1742. He looks the way he does because he got dreadfully injured when he was 23 in a plane crash. He got a serious set of cranial fractures, the front of his face had been flattened, his nose had been badly broken and broadened, and there was serious damage to his left eye from glass splinters. These photos were taken over a decade after that, so of course he would look different. :) He had been told he would never fly again, so that makes his actions even more of a truimph.

By the way, totally agree about Gerard Butler! He's so dreamy!

The Martinez have very interesting looks. I happen to know Olivier's younger brother Vincent (the suburbian Che Guevara on pics :D), we've been in the same high school class during the early 90's.

I heard that Gerard Butler in an Interview the other day. He's completely lost his accent!! sounds like a yank now.

Trog

Butler's had to take numerous voice coaching lessons to try and lessen his Glaswegian accent. He even talks about it himself:

"I have to confess I always hated any person from Scotland who went and lost their accent in the slightest. When Sheena Easton made it in America and suddenly started talking in an accent, I swore and threw shoes at her on television. But I’ve spent a year and a half now playing roles as an American and I’m not comfortable enough doing those accents only when we film, so I have to keep it up all the time. I really hate myself for doing that.”"

I should have been gay. I'd have much better taste in men than most of you. :p

I'm not the type to call men fags (because a male that does so is usually motivated by jealousy) but so many of those that have been posted are such horrible examples of men. I'm not the type that believes that fat, sweaty, hairy men are good examples either. But why not go for the ones that manage to look like they can take care of themselves without being full-blown metrosexual pansies?

http://www.thegauntlet.com/interviews/pic/Apocalyptica.jpg

Left one I could understand, though he looks a bit too made up
Mid-left: Chris Crocker?
Mid-right: maybe. Looks feminine, but it might just be the angle
Right: looks tremendously faggish like Mr. Slave from South Park.

Ryan Reynolds is another that I just can't understand. It doesn't matter how much muscle he gets, he'll always have a feminine look.

Tabiti's picks I can actually understand, though, as well as some of the others.
