This is pretty accurate, but you can say '제 아내' [je a-ne] (Translated: my wife, but a bit more formal than '내 아내' [ne a-ne]) just as well when introducing your wife to someone. But it's definitely a cultural thing, the whole thought of being "one" and "together" in Korea is 100% real.
