I already posted this South Brazilian beauty in the Beautiful European women thread, but she's just the most perfect model I've seen lately and I'm curious about her formula.

And her family:

Something like Nordo-Baltid is my wild guess. Btw, what's the origin of her surname? 'Krilow' seems both Polish or German to me.

mathletes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathlete) will recall a similar name (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexei_Krylov).

With a double U on the end, probably Polish. Means 'wing' in most if not all Slavonic languages. Krylov is the Russian variant.

Mama looks more German to my superficial impression. Profile has a kind of nose-forehead-mouth thing that says 'Czech' or 'Slovak' to me, for what it's worth. Perhaps it's the greater prognathism than you see in Germans, or the ever so slight concavity of the nose tip...?

Poles do not have family names ending in -ow, as far as I know. Her family name is either Russian or German from an originally Slavic place name.

This is incorrect. Poles from Pomerania (Kashubians) have names that end with ow, in turn inherited by their Germanized offspring. Slavic names among Germans almost always betray some Slavic ancestry and usually come associated with Slavic types (Baltid and East-Nordid).

She looks like an East Nordid with Baltid/East Baltid admixture or influences upon seeing her I immediately thought to myself that she was Russian.

East Nordid-Baltid. Sha kind of resembles Karolina Kurkova.

Names Regina and Krylov are common in Russia. Krilow may be a twisted spelling from Cyrillic. Fancy spellings were common in early days.

I don't know but she easily passes as Polish too. Quite similar looking to this Polish model. Krilow surname is probably Russian one though.

she can be both but if i muste choose one, i'd say polish , don't know why. you picked a person that looks polish and russian too on purpose. it really doesn't mean anything since i can pick hungarians who look very russian but that doesn't mean as a whole hungarian nation are phenotypically the same as russians.

There are phenotypes in poland that don't exist in russia and in russia there are phenotypes that don't exist in poland.
There are lots of russians who are clearly mongoloid admixed fromthe finno ugics turkics and other asian looking people they assimiliated over the centuries and still countinue to assimilate to this day. Poland on the other hand has lots of dinarics and germanic types.

For example this dinaric type guy looks very polish but not russianhttp://www.maszol.ro/uploads/files/userfiles/images/kulfold/2014/J%C3%BAnius/06/Miroslav%20Klose.jpg
germanic type polish giy thaats looks polish but not russianhttp://www.arsenal.com/assets/_files/scaled/510x250/aug_12/gun__1344433727_podolski_train2.jpg
another polish that doesn't look rusian (at least my opinion)http://en.africatopsports.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Robert-Lewandowski.jpg
putin looks russian but not polishhttp://www.constitutionparty.com/assets/Putin.jpg
other ethnically russianpeople that look russian but not polish http://d2l.gg/content/players/2/31-big.jpg http://i01.static.olcdn.com/cms/201208/27/MzAy1346059216719.jpg

To me there are big differences between polish in russian phenotype

Most Polish phenotypes can be found in Russia but not the other way around, as Russia is more diverse. Putin doesn't have physical appearance of a typical Russian. Poles and Russians (except for northern Russians, who are Finnic admixed) are genetically more similar than Poles (except for south-eastern Poles) and Ukrainians on autosomal DNA.

The PCA plot is from a published scientfic study based on autosomal DNA.
