View Full Version : Does Hailee Steinfeld look more African American or Filipino?

She is half Ashkenazi, 1/4 British Isles, 1/8 Filipina and 1/8 African American.

To me she looks 1/4 Filipina and 3/4 North European, and I see no Ashkenazi nor African American.

Her mother looks NEITHER Filipina nor African American.

Now it makes sense. This is her "African American" great grandmother. Clearly one drop rule. She looks white passing.

Judging from her family photos, how much SSA might she be?

I doubt her grandmother was more than a quadroon. I'd say Hailee herself is about as SSA as my grandmother is. The Filipino is clearly more of her DNA.

I think it has to be in the single digits.

So she is probably 12% SE Asian, 6% ish SSA and then the rest European.
