Seen a political debate from Russian television and I saw enough. Russians are a zombie population that's brainwashed for the most part, all bowing down for dear leader Putin. Not a healthy mentality tbh. Any opposition to Putin never gets heard or relentlessly ridiculed without any argument than cocksucking the great authoritarian leader.

If opposition were to be a danger to Putin, they'd be in danger as well. That's a handicap in a way. Stability (albeit in a country with near African level corruption) for stagnation.

In the long run you might be right in other words that he might not be good for Russia. Because what precedence does it set for future generations? Only time can tell, though.

Well Putin is not stupid, he's emotionally smart and kinda clever, but really far from being wise. His thinking type is extremely analytical and nihilistic as well. He really fits in his position. He's perfect politician who can hide things. But if he can't live by the code (moral values) he's legacy will fall sooner or later. Brute force will always perish and destroy itself. Harsh life probably made Putin like this.
Sad truth about TV, you are right. Russians were never asked about anything.. They are used to bow down. However Russian revolution wasn't ordinary people's fault. Russian Tsar was fighting with his German cousin and Japanese at the same time. He didn't care about his own people and if you are selfish bad things happen. Lenin was backed up by the Germans and boom. Revolution. Over 70 years lacking Judeo-Christian moral values and humanistic vibes. It's so sad so many Russians respect Stalin despite him killing millions. It is possible to industrialize your country without killing millions.
