Specifically with regard to sub-saharan African admixture I'm getting ike 2% on ancestry, 5% on DNA.land, and 16% on various GEDmatch tests. What gives?

Surely, but the question is more about the test methodology than the genetic profile of Egypt. Why are some tests getting 8x the SSA admixture than others?

Misleading title.

There is a a lot variation on each site. It depends on the algorithm. DNA.land was the most accurate for me whereas others weren't matching up with my genealogical research.

I would guess just based on the physical appearance of my family that the higher percentages are more accurate. (I don't look SSA, but for many of them it's visible.) Maybe GEDmatch goes back further? Who knows.

Depends on what counts as SSA too. East African and Niolitic may be counted differently.
