I think he has an interesting phenotype. His mates nicknamed him as "China" because of his "Asian" features.

Well, "China" is exaggerrated. The guy has Turanid influence, but doesn't look Asian.

There are many "chinas" here in Romania. It happens I have a coworker that's rightfully nicknamed "Bruce Lee": he has slanted eyes and very typical Turkic features (zero European in him look-wise even though he's ethnic Romanian).

He doesn't look Central Asian to me either. I really don't see the Asiatic/Central Asian influence. He looks more Amerindian influenced than either of the two aforementioned things.

However, I think he does look Turkic
