What in him makes you think that he looks Italian?

Did you guess that this is me? :)

I know you've seen my pictures, but here I am 11-12 years younger and people are telling me I look different than before.

Also I wanted to see if I will be classified different than the first time, and Odin who classified me East-Med the first time, now gives me Gracile-Med.

Hmm?

Not really, I've just classified the guy in the picture. No, no way that you are a Gracile-Mediterranean! You are just the Eastern version of the Mediterranean + some Dinarid admixture.

What's that Slav I don't understand?

As far as I know it's a linguistic term.

Or do I look like a Pole or something?

Any slav speaking population. Yes, I'd believe him to be a Pole before an Italian for example.

Hmm, that's interesting.

Many Poles here in England find me quite exotic for them...

No way. He's genetically closer to Italians actually.

I'm not so sure, he would't be seen as typical in Poland. He can pass but not as typical.

When you say "Italians" lots of Poles think "Paolo Cozza", because he represented Italy in a popular Polish TV show:

Paolo Cozza (he was born in Milan, Lombardy):

Way to pick a typical Italian

I didn't say he would be the most typical Pole, however between an Italian and a Pole he passes better as second. Eye shape for one.

I guess he won the casting (he lived in Poland at the time when they started that show).

BTW he is also Northern Italian (from Milan, Lombardy). LOL.

His skin shade and undertones, as well as hair, are Southern European.

I think he looks like a Northern Greek (they have Slavic admixture too).

I remember a discussion on a Polish forum where some users wrote "Southern Europeans look similar to Arabs".

And they really believed that (those were leftist users who argued against anti-immigration anti-Muslim crowd).

Does he look Italian to you?

His father's family originally came from Silesia and Lesser Poland, dark features are not rare there.

And he looks like a Dinaric type.

BTW, classify this guy (I also posted a photo of his mummy that I took when I visited his grave):

He was half German though (his mother's side).

He doesn't look either like a typical German or Pole, but I think he is Dinaric, this phenotype is not rare in Poland.

Me thinks that he was just squinting his eyes in that photo, here they look more almond-shaped:

Either squinting his eyes or the picture was photoshopped.

And such hooded eyes are actually more common in Northern Europe than in Southern Europe.

Tell this to Hollywood. All of their Italian actors usually look like Sicilians.

I hear for the first time that there are Slavic eyes and South European eyes.

It's like saying all South Europeans have elongated eyes like the guy he posted :D

Ridiculous :D
