Classify! South asians and Mongoloid (or Hunnic) influence.

A pic from my childhood and some others when I am all mature to see an influence properly

I consider myself an admixed Punjabi Rajput and Jatt.

Many clans and tribes of these South asian meta-ethnicities claim a distant Hunnic or Hephalite influence from Central asia.

Not necessarily looking for a link to satisfy some pride or anything, but just that the childhood pic has made me curious.

Do you guys see any Central or Far East asian influence?

Well, children aren't classifiable since their phenotype isn't fully developed yet. Not in the least, honestly. You look more west Asian(middle eastern) than Mongoloid to me. A lot of Jatts can easily pass in the middle east without much trouble for me. And yes, upper caste South Asians are genetically more closer to central and west asians than to lower caste ones.

You are right about children not as easily classifiable, McCree. I agree! But I was about 4-5 in that picture. And my other childhood pics do give some more Asian vibes aswell. So, I was just curious. There might be a reason why I this may happen, right? Otherwise, I could look something else when I was a kid. Why such a Far-east or Greater Mongoloid influence.

Well, my father has similar eyes like you when you were little, and yet, I have no east asian admixture according to genetics. Which region of Pakistan or Indian are you from? In terms of genetics, Punjabis in general don't have much east-asian admixture in their genepool in contrast to north-east and eastern Indians.

Punjab. Even before partition my family was from typical Punjabi regions. Not such link with North east India or Bengal that I know of. Even my meta-ethnicity is very typical Punjabi.

I do have some Kashmiri roots that further connect me to a a Turkic Qizilbash identity from Afghanistan. Some part of my family name is 'Agha' which is typical for families that have Shia Muslim origins that relates with their Qizilbash origins in Kashmir through Afghanistan going back to North-West Iran and modern day Azerbaijan.

I should have said south-west asia rather than the entirety of the middle east. Well, at least the ones I've seen here in the TA.

He can pass in Arabia and even Jordan. But yes, anything beyond those regions, he cannot pass in.
