View Full Version : Will Turkey ever join the EU

I always read news articles about Turkey and EU having talks, but nothing progresses, seems like they are waiting in queue since the 1980's.

I'm aware of the geographical location of Turkey, Is that really the only reason why EU is delaying or is it because they are afraid of a muslim state?

Thoughts?

They even declined visa free travel, granted to war torn Ukraine or even to backward Georgia. Turkey has uncontrolled population now with millions of migrants probably receiving citizenship or not, public knows not. That’s not a country EU would accept.
Just giving some money so that migrant flows are kept in. What EU currently doing with Turkey. Same treatment as Morocco.
A social order of backward, racially degenerated, uneducated mass can appear.
Some doses of religiously fundamentalist opium trying to keep a low class, north MENA mass together; making them believe in fairy tales like Ottomans cared for them (in reality not since it was a Turkic-Balkan empire) will revive the MENA etc.
Or like the wealthy, politician etc funding imams so that they preach to that conservative redneck mass that in afterlife, everything will be fine, that they must not live with high ambitions in life (‘humbleness is halal’).
That can all be, how it now looks.

Maybe renaming that ancient European city back to its original Constantinople might help their cause. Otherwise, they're just muslim invaders and thieves.

European Union is Germanic Union

Why would anyone want to join a union created to serve only Germanic interests?

Maybe Greeks who have discovered true intentions of EU = slavery.

Heart of Europe is Balkan and Anatolia, not Sweden, Germany and UK.

Agreed with you but...
"Why would anyone want to join a union created to serve only Germanic interests?", you asked. Of course people who want to sack Germanic interests... aka refugees and that kind of immigrants-Third Worlders.

Why would anyone want to join the EU anyway?

Germany is importing 3rd worlders on purpose, if they actually stoped importing foreigners we wouldn't have to create corridors for them.

Nobody is coming to Serbia, Bosnia, Bulgaria... everyone is going to Germany, cause Germany wants them. Not us.

Not the Erdogans dictatorship Turkey. But eventually they will when the time is right. The country will inevitably become more liberal and less religious in the future.

Not likely anytime soon as the EU seems to have severe issues.

Right now the accession is symbolic, Turkey obviously doesn't plan to join but no side wants to end the accession talks, it would be a declaration of worsened relations.

Why would anyone want less religious country?

We have spent 1500 years adopting religious laws just so we can abandon them now?

Islam and Orthodoxy will always be of extreme importance on Balkans and Anatolia.

In the meantime we can laugh at the political clash a silly song as this can cause with the Turkish Republic.

Take a look at Bosnia. An unbiased look. Then maybe you'll get it. Your argument is funny though "we have spent 1500 years adopting laws from an old semitic folklore and we now live in a very poor country which gives nothing of significance to the world but hey, we cant change it right? Surely not after so much effort!" Too funny bro

I wonder whether Russia would ever join. Not today, but after a few generations. I remember playing a mod for the game Civilization IV where you control either one of four empire. The former Anglo-Saxon World, The former Third World, East Asia dominated by China and the former EU + Russia minus Siberia.

Not a rosy future to be honest. ;)

We can't predict such scenarios. Fact remains Russia is also European whether they deny it or not.

Not everything is measured in Gold.

It is not funny to me.

Turkey will control the Third World ;)

This is good news actually providing all these third worlders do not progress past Turkmongrel - then we are on to something. We can begin right now by deporting 250,000 Albanians and 100,000 third worlders to your trashbin.

Ofc its not about gold. But your country has nothing, no science, no great education, no innovation. Could it be that being stuck in the past in that koran bs is the reason why Bosnia, together with Albania is 3rd world for the European standards?

We civilized you, gave you culture and basically created Greece, is this how you pay back? Very ungrateful.
