Both are my Volleyball Players morphes. Same sport for both.

Volleyball selects obviously taller people than average.

Japan's extends a little bit more north than south Korea.

Good point proved also by the morph

Southeast Asian genetic and phenotypic influence is way more apparent in Japanese than in the Koreans IMHO

The chin/jaw shape for the Korean morph is less angular and less defined, also the eyebrows on the Japanese morph is slightly more arched.

the Japanese and South Koreans are not Twin nations. The Japanese contain a high proportion of the Jomon(ainu) component, so their skin looks more light brown and their skulls are longer than the Korean ones. The Koreans have more obvious yellowish white skin.

i would say that is pretty accurate. the overall impression of japanese compared to korean is more curved features, eyebrows, higher-lifted eyes. bone structure in face juts out slightly more. these are not major differences, but it is kind of like a mix of koreans (yayoi anyway) with a small portion of taiwanese/phillipines islands natives to simplify it. Which is what I perceive japanese population to be.

Koreans are influenced back again for the past 2000 years as Japanese boat to Korea and have children in ports or move there. I've always wondered about the ethnic differences in Koreans in the Busan/Daegu area vs Seoul.
