If Aquilina is her real name and not married, she is at least partially Sicilian.

Aquilina is a Sicilian surname from Agrigento and Caltanissetta.

I can't find any information to see if that is her real surname. I assume she is Italian American either way though.

Nevermind I found it. Her father is from Malta and her mother is German. So she eventually does trace back to Sicily anyway as indicated by her surname.
