Doug McDonald results show me as 45% Palestinian? Is this just my Sicilian side?

Hey all,

Been on this site as a lurker for years, but finally needed to make an account to ask a question. Thanks for your time.

Dr McDonald analyzed my DNA before and this is the chromosome painting and write up he gave me-- and I am just trying to find out how accurate is this? Am I actually middle eastern or could this just be from my sicilian roots? He estimated me to be about 45% Palestinian--which is not anything I have ever heard of in my family at all--but, he does seem to be the expert in analyzing. Would love another set of eyes on these. This feels like a huge mystery!

How much Sicilian are you in total?

thanks for your reply. Im not really sure since 23andme put a lot as broadly southern european for me. My dad claims to be 100% sicilian and my mom showed up with a lot of Mediterranean (she also has mexican/native roots). I grew up being told I was french, irish and italian--mostly untrue, but here is my K15:

Ok it looks consistent with Sicilian, but your mother's side has low Amerindian. What else is she besides Mexican?

She's mostly Southern Euro on 23andMe as well. Her dad is supposedly 100% Irish but I am guessing that's not true. Ive been trying to figure out if she has a different biological dad (very possible) and if so, if he is the middle eastern one.
