Obviously not in the linguistic sense, but a genetic one.
I'm curious about this question because there are not very many samples of this unique Slavic group. However, I've come across a couple kits from Rusyns of Slovakia and Poland (Lemkos I believe) and they often show affinity to Hungarians in the oracles. Is there some genetic continuity between certain Rusyns and Hungarians due to their close proximity within the Carpathian Mountains?
I'd like to know other's insight.

Of course not. If so, there are Slavicized Valachians.

Their dna test results aren't that much like hungarians from what I've seen.

Some of them are, maybe 15-20%. But most of them are not Vlachs.

I think vlach admixture is evenly distributed among them, not sure though. Ion Basescul knows it better.

They are rather close to Ukrainians, but also followed by Northern Hungarians and Slovaks, with whom they mixed for many centuries, however not very close to average Hungarian results, who are more Southern-shifted. They are a largely Slavic people in origin, possibly descendants of the White Croats.

Their Balkan admixture make them to plot like that.
