View Full Version : Why Eurogenes K13 seemingly can't be accurate

I don't think Eurogenes K13 can objectively scientifically be more accurate than than Eurogenes K15 and the original EUtest because it combines Atlantic and NorthSea components into one North_Atlantic category.
Here are maps of Atlantic and NorthSea components :
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-FltSej-D4MdwxVYD7sBOktLg-1WSfPlbMRsBky7-Ys2PiQvatWTJ084e9frfwOcRrKp_SDDtjw9x_A=w1600-h769-rw
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-FltSej-D4MdwxVYD7sBOktLg-1WSfPlbMRsBky7-Ys2PiQvatWTJ084e9frfwOcRrKp_SDDtjw9x_A=w1600-h769-rw
Obviously, for example, the English and Scottish are going to probably have more NorthSea than the Irish , on average, and the Scottish and Irish are going to be higher in Atlantic components probably too. The above maps are not good at showing that by the way but they are good at showing where each component peaks in a more widely general sense. The NorthSea component probably peaks in Norway but the above maps are not good at showing that instead it shows a more dull general trend across northern Europe. In K15 the Irish sample is higher in NorthSea than the English samples but this has to be a mistake or else the southern English are not as high in NorthSea as Yorkshire England etc... because Yorkshire without a doubt would be higher. That the Irish score so high in the NorthSea component makes me think it is a Northern Irish Ulster Scot sample or something like that but I am not sure about that.
Now Eurogenes K15, on the otherhand, breaks the North_Atlantic K13 component into NorthSea and Atlantic components. The Atlantic component in the Irish is 30.66 the Atlantic component in the Scottish is 30.46 (the NorthSea component is higher in West Scottish than Irish too)and for the SouthWest English the Atlantic component is 28.94 etc... So as we can see these small differences K13 has to miss especially since not all the populations of the Irish, English, Scottish groups are going to have the exact average to make the single North_Atlantic number be able to differentiate accurately between these populations. So these kind of small differentiations can make all the difference in the world. Of course there are other limitations like no Northern English samples , Ulster Scot samples, and SouthEast Scottish samples but both these tests can be said to suffer from such limitations.
They all give me different results too but Eutest one and Eutest 2 are more similar to each other than K13 :

So K13 says my closest single population is Irish where K15 says SouthWest English. This is not a minor discrepancy as confusing the Irish and West Scottish is more understandable than confusing the Irish and the English. So do you guys agree with my analysis here ?

So why does K13 say my closest population is Irish and K15 says my closest population is English while no one is trying to actively fix this problem on Eurogenes ? Because Eurogenes was engineered or created by a fucking Polack ! That is why :

I am not crazy because only an inferior ethnic group like the Polish would create such a mentally deficient slapdash disorganized mess of tools that we know of as Eurogenes. Now Dodecad was made by a Greek monkey (Greeks are not white either) so that explains why it is shitty too. Also, why the hell is K13 the default calculator ? This implies that it is the most 'accurate' on Eurogenes.
It would be perfectly understandable if K13 and K15 said Scottish and the other Irish or vice versa or English and the other Scottish or vice versa but it is not acceptable for K13 to say I am closest to the Irish and K15 to say that I am closest to the English. That you accept this state of affairs as acceptable shows how lazy and mentally deficient you are.
Obviously , GEDmatch is largely free and I did not pay for it so you might argue I have no reason to complain. However, that is missing the larger point that if these tools were better I probably would have donated some money to GEDmatch or Eurogenes.

I literally can't tell if you're being serious or not. No ethnicity test, whether professional ones like 23andMe or AncestryDNA are exact science. The free ones which we have access to thanks to an individual's hard work is no exception. Still, they are all at least reasonably accurate.
Furthermore, in another thread I believe you said you were mostly Irish/Celtic, which Eurogenes K13 seemed to pick up rather well. K15 lists you as English, but the creator of Eurogenes as blatantly stated that Eurogenes K13 is better for "mixed persons" and new worlders than K15, which, incidentally, has also been my experience.
I mean if you wanna troll, that's fine, but at least put it in the Troll Carnival section.

I don't think Eurogenes K13 can objectively scientifically be more accurate than than Eurogenes K15 and the original EUtest because it combines Atlantic and NorthSea components into one North_Atlantic category.
Here are maps of Atlantic and NorthSea components :
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-FltSej-D4MdwxVYD7sBOktLg-1WSfPlbMRsBky7-Ys2PiQvatWTJ084e9frfwOcRrKp_SDDtjw9x_A=w1600-h769-rw

Least-squares method.
Using 1 population approximation:
1 Orcadian @ 2.572646
2 Cornish @ 2.927963 (SouthWest English)
3 IE @ 2.939580
4 Scottish @ 3.636564
5 English @ 4.970222
Using 2 populations approximation:
1 50% Cornish +50% Scottish @ 1.968661
Cornish = SouthWest English
So K13 says my closest single population is Irish where K15 says SouthWest English. This is not a minor discrepancy as confusing the Irish and West Scottish is more understandable than confusing the Irish and the English. So do you guys agree with my analysis here ?
It works better for some people than for others. No calculator is best for everyone. For you, the K15 may be best while the K13 works best for others.

I am not crazy because only an inferior ethnic group like the Polish would create such a mentally deficient slapdash disorganized mess of tools that we know of as Eurogenes.
I guess we can expect to see your racially superior calculator any day now.

[size=4]So why does K13 say my closest population is Irish and K15 says my closest population is English while no one is trying to actively fix this problem on Eurogenes ?
Like many northwestern Europeans, the Irish and the English are closely related which is why you can be Irish under K13 and English under k15.

Ok, but the Irish are more closely related to the Scottish who are in turn more closely related to the English which means Eurogenes calculators are shit.

Stop complaining it is well known that Pollock science is as retarded and autistic as the pollock members on this forum have you met them? Rethel is one such induvidual they pretend to know shit and put emphasis on muh R1a we wuz aryan n shit.

None of the the current genetic calculators give you perfect accurate results.

You are missing the point I am not asking for perfect accurate results. For instance, if K13 said Irish and K15 West Scottish that would be an acceptable margin of error as would a K13 Scottish and K15 English result. A K13 Irish and K15 English result is not an acceptable margin of error.

Then you should ask Davidski (http://eurogenes.blogspot.com) about it.

That's rather just due to not high enough K. I'm also British on some calculators.
When using high K (like K36 for example) it is easy to tell the Irish and English apart.

K13 and K15 seem quite good for me. I'm half west Scot half Irish (mothers side from Carna) and it's interesting that people of full Irish ancestry are getting more North Sea than me. I suspect the North Sea component isn't Germanic per se and probably represents something that predates Vikings, Anglo-Saxons ect, probably Bell Beaker, if my memory is correct they supposedly entered the isles from the low countries.
