True, the South Asian influence is quite high in Iraq compared to other MENA nations. In North Africa it's none-existent. This persons results does not look that different from other North Africans. In general Algerians and Tunisians are light Arab or Berber speakers, but the Mozabites are darker yet they have no Arabian influence, the same is true of Moroccans. Moroccans are the least Arabian influenced people. What is interesting is that their SSA is ancient and this why it does not show and plus climate might have helped in that regard.

Not really, it probably shared common Afro-Asiatic ancestry. Berbers/North Africans share a common but distant ancestry with Arabians. During the Arab conquest of North Africa, many Berbers adopted Arabic because it was lingua franca, and their culture already had similar traits. However there was a Semitic presence long before the Arabs, and that was Phoenicians who brought Arab like genetics in North Africa before. The most recent Arab influence goes back to the 10th century when Shia Arabian tribes migrated from the peninsula but they proved no match to the numerous Berber tribes and assimilated them and hence why North Africa did not transition to Shiaism.

A lot of Blacks were brought by the Berbers, and also they formed the Haratin group. However not all South Moroccans are SSA admixed to the point they look like Sudanese or Ethiopians. It is not really surprising. Iberian people generally tend to score more North African than Italians, Greeks or Albanians but their substantially higher combination of East Med, West Asian plus a high West Med score as well and lower Atlantid and North Sea inputs makes then genetically closer to Maghrebs than any average Iberian.

Algerians don't have much SSA, the average Algerian and average Kabyle are the same genetically, culturally. Anyways Algeria is large, I said it depends on the regional ethnic/tribal group there. All North Africans have ancient SSA admixture and it does not appear in their phenotype. Most Algerians have straight to wavy hair, that's not Quadroon. Even if they were Quadroons they sure don't look it.

Because it's exaggerated and people like to post false info on us, especially anthrotards. We know we have some SSA input, heck even Yemenite Jews have some SSA, and there an isolated group much like Yemenite highlanders who also do, which is ancient admix. As for Gulf Arabs those from the east coast, they really have even less SSA than even Yemenite Jews probably due to South Asian influence due to Persians. Iraqis have South Asian due to the Persians, if you see isolated Iraqi Bedouin tribal group, there is no South Asian admix, but some SSA just like most Afro-Asiatic people. Don't make me look like racist when I am not, since I have some SSA myself around 3% East African.

Most Iraqis seem intermediate between Arabian and Iranian people, however only isolated group like my mom's clan for example are not intermixed and are genetically very close to Yemenite Jews and Bedouins. It's well known that many Persians settled in Iraq especially during those times. Plus the White and Black sheep Turkmens would also bring South Asian elements, since Turkmens have South Asian admixture. Iraq however is becoming more and more Arabian. For example many Southern Iraqis don't differ much from the Arabian populations, but certain areas in the central area especially the Shia holy shrines there is significant Persian elements. Iraq also gained Persian and Indo-Pakistani migration especially in the southeast areas, they are given the name of Easterners and looked down upon by the Arabian Bedouin clansman who have made themselves to be the elite of the nation especially before 2003. Not to mention that Qara Yufuf the Turko-Persian is well known for his cruelty toward Baghdad and Mosul, or Shah Ismail's destructive invasion of Baghdad and Basra, and the same is true of Nader Shah. Iraq had gone under several transformations. Look at the Iraqi results posted here, some seem to have significant Iranian ancestry, this can only explained by the various Turkized-Iranian dynasties who are Persian genetically anyways, but isolated groups in the north yet are yielding the same results as Yemenite Jews and Bedouins, and the same of large portion of Southern areas, that did not go under brutal and barbaric Turko-Persian rule.

Wikipedia says those Turkmens exist in Iraq since Abbasid and Seljuk era. And how do you define original Mesopotamians? It was a playground for Romans and Persians. Even the capital of Parthians and Sasanians were in that region. So?

I just checked the spreadsheets. North East African + SSA for Lebanese Christians in the K15 spreadsheet is still less than 1%. For Muslims it's a bit over 3%. In the Dodecad K7b spreadsheet Lebanese are 3.4% African.
