That's because there's almost no sponsor or even a little reward for Filipino athletes. You say Filipinos are less successful than East Asian in sports ? One can also say East Asians in Olympics are more successful than Europeans and Americans because I watched the 2016 Olympics and East Asian all uses East Asians while American and European uses some Blacks and some mix race Asian and Asian atheletes, they even used a Indian athlete. East Asian put a lot of money into their athletes and the reward is bigger while Philippines properly has no reward like India.
Many African countries also have 0 gold medal.

Those black people were born in Europe countries so I consider them part of those country.
It s obviously a mix of economic power, sport culture and sporty mentality of people plus the physical body of people (this last is an inevitable racist factor given by nature)
And no.. East Asians in Olympics are way less successfull than europeans. It s a fact.

Filipinos have produced many world boxing champions. It's just that Olympics is not their thing just like in India, Pakistan they win a few medals but that's because cricket is the only thing important.
East Asians used to be bad in sport now you'll see them being top 10 in almost every Olympic. I'm believing Japanese will become no.1 in 2020 Olympics just like China was no.1 in 2008.

No you have to divide medals for population
China actually sucks on sports if we consider the population it has.
And Philipinos practice boxing yes, but it s also an Olympic sport and for now none of them managed to win the gold medal

Nah. ButlerKing is correct. East Asian athletes are predominately East Asian and that makes their country more successful. What metals they win are, in a way, more "authentic" than relying on someone else.
Not half way through the competition, of course; but, athletes don't necessarily have to compete for the same country year after year. If, for example, an athlete has a dual nationality or is of mixed heritage, and a country permits them to participate, then they can potentially represent more than one nation across their career. Indeed, they might even play against the country in which they were born.

Athletes have no qualms 'changing countries' when they partake in the Olympics. If the countries had 'value' to these athletes, if you would, they'd stay competing for the country of their birth. But they go where the reward is. Being born in Europe doesn't mean they don't have citizenship elsewhere.

East Asians are less successfull, is proved by actual medals divided for population
And sport it s nor also strength but also economy, and Europe's provides much to athletes and beside that they choose to immigrate in Europe and not east Asia, so we are more successfull than them even in sports

There's a good chance East Asia will be no.1 in the world again. Japan has always been a Olympic powerhouse being in top 10 most of the time.
Their best result was no.5 in 2004 Greek Athens so just imagine in their own country they would surely be no.1 or no.2
Also medal tally means crap. Nobody remembers the silver and bronze winner. If they are such worth it than Filipinos also won 3 silvers and 10 bronze, does that mean they are better than countries with 2 gold medal?
By your logic America also sucks in sports because if we go per capita than America is not even in the top 30 or top 50.

Sometimes sucess in sports dont depend on peoples capacity but the lack of government support. How can you compete with A athletes that recieve all support while you still have to work 9 hours per day, pay for your own equipment, trips, etc. ?

China actually sucks on sports if we consider the population it has.
There is something seriously wrong with this. If you want to talk about population than Africa has many 50-200 million population but won 0 Gold medal. India also has 1.2 billion population and win 0 medals and Pakistan, Bangladesh 200 million but win 0.
I sometimes don't think population is a major factor. There are many Europeans countries with less population but do 10x to 20x better than the ones with a far more larger population same with Africa.

That doesn't t count. You have to look at medals divided on total population of that coubtry
