East-Med.
Outside of Greece and southern European, he can pass as Assyrian, Lebanese and maybe Kurd (would need hadouken's consent on that though Lol).

Would pass Kurdish better probably, but he looks Syrian the best. He doesn't really look like a typical Turk.

Cypriots and Levantines aren't from another planet. It's possible for him to be a not so typical Cypriot. Based on his surname, that's most likely the case.

The majority of Cypriots still have a Greek resamblance, be it Greek islander or other. This one has a typical Lebanese look.

This.
He can be a typical Cyprus or typical Levantine. Cyprus is clearly in Western Asia, even considered to be in the greater Levant region. Being part of the EU doesn't change anything.
If anything, Cyprus is a "transitional" region where people vacillate between more Levantine looking and European looking. There is a grey area there, but people dismiss that because if you're in Europe you're automatically racially heterogeneous from those in the nearby West Asian countries, and rather have more in common with Swedes and Germans. Lol.
