Genes from Wales

As some of you know I am the member that is dedicated to family research. I have known that over 90% of my genes have come from England, even though I am an American. I have just discovered I have ancestors from Glamorganshire, Wales, dating back to the 1400's. My question is, what category do you put Welch genetics in?
