First of all, these tests were designed in 2012, that's like prehistory in this scene, so there's not much point dwelling on these results. But if you must...

The problem is the oracle and not the test. The 4-Ancestors oracle works fine with the K13.

And don't forget that Dodecad tests suffer from the calculator effect, so anyone who wasn't in Dienekes' dataset is likely to get horribly skewed results. So those North European ancestry proportions are way off anyway.

For god's sake, many people from England get Hungary in their oracle results when using Dodecad because of the calculator effect. How this hasn't yet been accepted as a problem by a few die hard fans of Dienekes is beyond me.


Pretty sure the Eurogenes K13 is one of most accurate tests at GEDmatch.

On the other hand, Dodecad tests are indeed seriously flawed, as I explained above.



Get Global 25, it's much more updated and accurate. It just has the issue of being very DIY

Eurogenes k13 seems to be the best. I also like the components of dodecad k12b but the spreadsheet itself is seriously flawed.

I really think which calculator works best for you is entirely dependent on your ethnic background, since each calculator will read different components a little differently. It seems like Eurogenes (obviously) and MDLP are solely for pure Europeans.

Yeah the fact that K13 has me at 50% Slavic is pretty impressive in terms of GEDMatch calculators,

Good question! I hope they will add something new in 2019. I'm not gonna pay for a calculator anytime soon anyway, because I can already predict what it would tell me. 51% pop A, 29% pop B, 12% pop C, 8% pop D and stuff like that.

not every calculator is good for everyone, some fit ones better than others, I talked with you about that some time ago, idk if you recall it, it was about the african %, the northeast dna increasing my ssa. same applies to amerindian/siberian dna
