Chinese American mountain climber and Nat Geographic photographer.
He is Han Chinese but looks very Tibetan. His parents are both from China but I don't know where. His mom looks more Southern and the dad looks more Northern Chinese. I think his look is very Northwestern Chinese, much more robust, I think the Hans from there have more of a common bloodline with Tibetans, which makes sense because they came from the same origin thousands of years ago.
He's very interesting to me because he pretty much went the opposite of how most Chinese American kids are raised. Instead of just going to college and becoming a professional, he pretty much just lived out of his car and climbed for 7 years in the Rockies, and was out of contact with his parents for 3 years because he didn't have a phone or anything.
