J2 is not Arabic and J is the sister haplogroup of İ, I is much more related to J than to R or any other. Ancient Greeks and Romans were J2.

Haplogroup J2 is more likely Caucasian/Iranian in origin. It is correlated with "Caucasus" ancestry.

The J2a1b in Sicilians is in most cases either Greek or native Italic. Although some clades of J-M67 can be linked to Jews or Arabs but the haplogroup itself isn't Semitic in origin

many pontic greeks are j2a1b alongside L and G.In the case of sicily it is probably bronze age anatolian or byzantine.

Yes. Either way it is likely unrelated to their Levantine and North African ancestry. As far as I know there are subclades of J2 specific to those areas which may be present in Sicily but J2a1b is not one of them.

There could be a small percent of the J2-M67 there which is Jewish

J1 isn't Arabic either, only the FGC11(FGC12 downstream) can be linked to Arabs

J1 is brother or sister of J2, J1 is Arabian

Yup. I'm sick and tired of people always have this infantile way of thinking.

This person's paternal line is of Palermitan origin, though they themselves are American, and judging by their oracle results, probably only 1/2 Sicilian.

J1 is predominantly arabic/semitic, just like R1b is Western European. J2a is somewhat pan Mediterranean and more along coastal lines.
