They're racially Austroloids belonging to the same race as those found in Australia, Melanesia, new guinea and among the tribal populations of Southern India and South Asia as a whole(Veddoid peoples). They're a very interesting people considering that they had been on the islands of South-East Asia for tens of thousands of years before the paleo-Mongoloid peoples of modern day Taiwan and beyond(Austronesian peoples) began migrating there in the bronze and iron age periods. Despite their pseudo-African appearance, they're genetically the least relate to the SSA peoples of Africa, and they're more closer to east Asians and other Eurasians.

They are much smaller in size than the Australian aborigines.

They are an interesting people though. There are always these legends of dwarf peoples in Southeast Asia, and in Indonesia, they discovered the Flores man who was a tiny hominid. There are rumors that this sub species was still existing when the Dutch colonized the East Indies.

Yes. Mostly likely due to the environment and their lifestyles on the islands.

They probably evolved small stature to conserve water, similar to African pygmies

I would assume the genetic relation between South Indians and Papuans is relatively similar to the relation East Asians have with Native Americans.

How about Aetas to Australians?

How about Aetas to Australians?
Aeta-australoid is closer to Australians and Papuans then they are to South Indians even though you can still group all of them under the 'Australoid' category anthropologically.

The Australoid or Negrito found in the Philippines is actually more Melanesian-like than say ASI/Andamanese-like.. Malaysian Negritos on the other hand are genetically more Andamanese-like rather then Melanesian.

Were the Aetas once the sole occupants of the Philippines? What is their status now? Do you see them on the street?

The Negritos are to the Philippines as the Ainu are to Japan, the original indigenous Filipinos; they've subsequently been displaced by Austronesians and Malays over the span of thousands of years.. They're primarily found living peaceful lives in isolated provinces such as Zambales region..I even saw one working at a zoo in Subic a few years ago. You'll also sometimes spot them in Manila begging for money on the street. But otherwise I never saw one working in any affluent societal roles such as businessman, office worker, civil service etc..they simply aren't represented there. But I never really conversed with one before and have no real clue what they're like to interact with.

no I tried finding it, but couldn't. I found two kits with very high south indian though on gedmatch. They must be low caste south indians, such as dalits rather than tribals from deep forests. Honestly though these two don't look that far from tribals imo.

Maybe if they were to be raised in a 1st-world environment they could perform similarly to say Cambodians or Indians. Environment is important too. Genetically 3rd-world individuals have often risen to the ranks in America right? What do you think?

I think this is a very good calc, but it shifts people in the SE-asian direction too much. I find the Eurasia K6 to be better defined in terms of its components especially the ASE component.
