”Suomen poliisia miehitetään – seuraa halvaantuminen”

Entinen sisäministeri, oppositiopoliitikko Kari Rajamäki (sd.) esittää Puheenvuoro-blogissaan huolensa Suomen poliisin tilasta. Rajamäen mielestä kokoomus on tehnyt invaastion poliisihallintoon.

Rajamäen mukaan sisäministeri Anne Holmlund (kok.) on miehittänyt Suomen poliisin kokoomuslaisten nimityksillä.

- Merkittävää on se, että yhden puolueen toimesta pyritään miehittämään kaikki rakenteet; lainsäädännön johtaminen, valvonta ja operatiiviset tasot, Rajamäki kirjoittaa.

- Sisäministeriön ja poliisin piirissä selkeästi yhden puolueen poliittisten nimitysten runttauksesta on seuraamassa halvaantuminen, vahtimisen ja pelon ilmapiiri, hän jatkaa.

Rajamäki on aina ollut mielestäni yksi suoraselkäisimmistä SDP:n poliitikoista, saisi jo loikata persuihin!

Itse aihe in mielestäni mielenkiintoinen ja ehdottoman ajankohtainen. Vertaus kommunistien miehittämään valpoon on täsyin pätevä. ;)

We've seen that the political elite likes nothing more than to appoint their buddies and compliant yes-men to positions of power, also within the police. They can then excert significant influence on police priorities, etc.

Anne Holmlund (National Coalition), minister of the interior, spoke to police brass in 2009, telling them to step up the fight against intolerance.

Immigration and Europe Minister, Astrid Thors (Swedish Peoples Party), has become something like Finnish neo-liberal immigration policy embodied.

Chief of Police, Mikko Paatero, has campaigned for the biometric passports and their fingerprint database to be given into police use. He has also campaigned for an increased immigrant representation in the police force. Paatero is also opposed to the publishing of the infamous "Tiitinen's list". His son was a special aid to minister Holmlund (see above) in 2007-2009.

But then, among the police in the field, there are people like Tom Packalén (True Finns).
