There are other theories like Huns and other more fantastic ideas, but truth is that nobody can present any reasonalbe facts supporting the claim.

As for Slavs it's impossible as:

1. Ashkenazis haven't accepted Slavs into their tribe much, at most their North-Euro imput estimates to 20%.

2. Poles, Belarussians and Ukrainians themself have at max 1-2% of East-Eurasian genes, so making a print on Ashkenazis of this amount would've also left them with great amount of NE Euro genotype, which they lack.

Yes, I think so too. Some Khazar refugees might have gone to the west and assimilated there after the fall of Khazaria. That would also explain the presence of the Q haplogroup in some Jews.

The Khazars were long gone before the Ashkenazi Jews migrated to eastern Europe in the middle of the middle ages. I guess it's that some of them had mixed with some Turkic peoples of Southern Russia hence why you can find some Turkic peoples who are Jewish.

It turns out there is a genetic basis for a small amount of East Asian and Northeast Asian (East Siberian) ancestry in Ashkenazim, just as there is in some neighbors of Ashkenazim such as non-Jewish Hungarians, Ukrainians, Romanians, and Russians, though the Mongoloid inputs into these populations didn't always come from the same source populations.
