There is no "Macedonia" option (since you ask) because nowadays "Macedonians" are all either of Bulgarian, or Albanian, or Greek descent.
Ancient Macedonians were Greek people.
There is a good reason why your state is called FYROM.

Mostly in other Balkan Slavic countries and Romania (unsurprisingly). The more Med ones pass well in Greek, and the more Northern/Slavic-looking ones pass well in Ukraine.

I worked for a Bulgarian man once.. he spoke Serbian on account of having worked in Belgrade for years.. but even when he and his family talked amongst themselves, I could follow without any problem..

Likewise, watching the Serbian film Juzni Vetar, I didn't really need subtitles for the Bulgarian dialogue.. I imagine understanding Bulgarian would be even more of a piece of cake for someone who grew up in Serbia

I understand Serbian pretty easily, too. Funnily there is an accent/dialect in my country (in the Rhodope mountains) that's more like Russian and is harder for me to understand than Serbian language is.

I always thought Bulgarians are usually dark and similar to Western Asians phenotypically, my Bulgarian ancestors were at least. My Polish grandmother said my partially Bulgarian grandfather has Arab-like or Turkish-like features i thought it was their average phenotype

We are absolutely not Arab-like (I can only think of one public figure named Christian Talev who looks like that, while tens of thousands don't; for 29 years of living here I have only met one person resembling Talev).
Bulgarians, like most Balkanites, represent a more Mediterranean admixed version of Central Europeans.
Here is how we plot genetically (pity Serbia and Romania weren't tested also but still other results are quite representative):
- Hungary - 1,10 (closest result of states tested; usually Bulgarians score as closest to Romanians, Hungarians and Serbs)
- Switzerland - 1,13
- Austria - 1,14
- Southern Germany - 1,19
- Czech Republic - 1,21
- France - 1,22
- Poland - 1,29
- Spain - 1,30
- Northern Germany - 1,32
- Northern Italy - 1,32
- Southern Italy - 1,38
- Sweden - 1,47
- Russia - 1,53
- Estonia - 1,70
- Lithuania - 1,73
- Latvia - 1,86
- Finns from Helsinki - 2,19
- Finns from Kuusamo - 2,91
Bulgarians' genetic distance to people of Northern and Western European ancestry from Utah is 1,29 according to the same study.

Most likely. As you can see from source I posted, we are genetically nearly equidistant to Spaniards and Poles; also almost equally removed from Czechs and the French.
