Unknown perpetrators have with green spray paint written on the historical rune stones.
The large Jelling stone was Friday night desecrated by green spray paint, when unknown perpetrators wrote the word "Gelwane" or "Gelwan E" across that the Danish monument.
The stone, as Harald Bluetooth erected around year 965, is not damaged beyond the paint on the surface, but it can, according to the chairman of Jelling Church, Gunni Højvang also be serious enough.
Against Vejle County Folkebladet he calls the vandalism "a disaster" and fears that the paint can be penetrated into the historic stone.
