I personally believe there is sort of ''Carpathian area'' look that runs from Hungary, Slovakia, to Romania and west Ukraine, and that's lacking in southern slavic countries.

Nice pics! Seems about right. But Cluj is actually more toward Northwestern Romania though. Predominant types here are Alpine/Gorid, Carpathid, with smaller amounts of other types, including Noric, Neo-Danubian and apparently even a few Nordid types judging by these pics. Predominantly Central-Eastern Euro look. I agree closest match is Hungary in the case of this bunch, which isn't suprising given the region's location and history.

But when I think of true heart of Central Romania I think more like Brasov or Sibiu, also in Transylvania. Last time I went to clubs there, there were somewhat less blondes than in these pics (especially on the second page of the thread). They still had a Central Euro kind of look there, but it was a general kind that didn't look as northern and eastern as some of these, nor as Balkan as Wallachia, but just kind of generically European, passing as far west as Austria/Bavaria, Switzerland, or France even in some cases, but there were also higher amounts of Dinarids there since they're around the mountain range.

The guy on left looks Romanian to me. He just has dark hair and eyes. Skin tone is like the others, even lighter than some.

There are strong regional differences in Romania, man. People don't look uniform from north to south and from east to west.Those people remind me a lot of the Romanians I've used to interact with from Cluj, so I'm fairly familiar with them. As I said, I did my best to avoid foreigners, majority of those pics were tagged.

Pretty pan European looking. A decent chunk would pass here without people batting an eye (most people are mix of Russian-German & Norwegian here, but we have others too, including those of primarily, if not 100%, Slovak, Pole, and Irish descent). They'd look a bit more off in other regions of the U.S., where the population is more predominantly western European in terms of origins. Ranges from Pontid to Baltid, but most are towards the Carpathid-Alpine-North Pontid range. I'd argue best fit outside of Romania is Hungary, although many pass in Bulgaria as quite typical too. Individuals pass as Serbs, but as an overall set, they seem different to me. Also not much in common with Ukrainians IMO in terms of looks.

And yes,the women are quite fine in this set.

The main thing that unites Romanians as an ethnicity is the language/nationality, even if in the distant past many of them came from very different ultimate origins, or perhaps received differnet influences or adapted to the environment in different ways.

You see some that you would think are not even the same ethnicity as others haha.

It's impossible to say there is one look.

Despite what some said, I honestly didn't see many Pontids in this group, which makes sense given that it's all the way up here:

Yeah, Pontids are not predominant here. Some people might throw around Pontid just because they know they're Romanians and often associate this type with this part of the world and apply it even when it's not the case, lol. :)

As in group pics we are surprised by the abundance of different types.
I would guess as a generic Central Europeans. Hungarians or Slovaks.

As the majority seems overall distant from the average stereotype Rumanian I see in Italy, (but there are exceptions)which I guess are from Wallachia.
