IMO Iker Casillas is the least Italian looking one in the group by far.

I'd say in order:

#1 is very Italian looking, then #3, #4, #5 and then #2 last.

#1 is Ashkenazi, so of the people on the list he is the only one who has any actual direct Italian ancestry (Ashkenazim are half Italian).

But #3 was adopted and no one knows his ancestry, so he may be Italian American for all we know.

2 looks kinda off to me for Italian the most but i may be wrong..

Very interesting to know. So maybe the foreigner vibe I noticed in number 1 is the ashkenazin element.

Number 2 for Italian American, however, Italians are a difficult group to determine a mainstream you can have Nordids all the way to Laventine looking Italians. The Majority look like the typical South Central Europeans similar to Swiss and Balkanites.

Yeah, that is what I thought. His second picture looks a bit washed out so it doesn't look the best. But you can even see from his second pic he probably shaves that unibrow that many Italians have. # 1 , 4 ,5 do not look that typical to me as far as Italian American.

Well most are mixed to some degree, but I believe I'm from the same general area as JohnSmith is. You would probably say many Italian-AMericans (lighter ones) look French. Most typical is some mix of Puglia, Molise, Abruzzo, and interior Campania. We have some of Sicilian/Calabrian descent as well as a smaller minority of mostly Tuscan and Emilian as well, but those last two are mostly mixed with Anglos and/or German Americans I believe. AFAIK, they came to the U.S. earlier than most from further south in Italy.

So Abruzzo area basically.

I could see #2 as Irish-Italian, but not a full Sicilian nor Calabrese at all. I actually don't think any of the people in my post look Sicilian, except #1 and #4 could pass as atypical.

This is because southern Italians have the least "Slavic" like DNA in all of Europe.

To be honest that is why I do not understand why many think Italians and Greeks look alike (in the far south they do but not near Rome). I think Italians generally look more French. For god sakes I have even seen Dutch and Anglos that look similar to Italians. They are probably the most diverse country in Europe.

Then what do Greeks look like? Balkan and Slavic?

I think central-southern Italians facing the Adriatic look more Greek, Sicilians and Calabrese look more Near Eastern influenced, and the rest of Italy is similar to southern France.

I don't think Iberians look Italian. I think Iberians have a distinct look that in general can be distinguished.

MysteriousWays

Some Greeks and Italians look similar to one another, some don't. Both can be northern shifted or southern shifted. In general, where I'm from, Italian-Americans tend to look more northern shifted than Greek-Americans do where I'm from on average (we don't have many of Greek origins though). But much depends on comparing specific region in Italy to a specific region in Greece. It's extremely hard to generalize.

It all depends, but if I had to pick one group with the closest similarities it would be the French and Western Europeans generally. I used to think it was the Central/SouthEast Europeans like the Austrians and South Slavs but they are more Eastern European Skewed than I thought while Italians seem to be more Western skewed.

Yeah it all depends,, but there is some evidence in the R1b distribution. I am no expert on genetics but Italians in most regions correspond more so with the Western Europeans than Eastern. Interesting how the Dutch and Italians can share more similarities in some regard vs other Northern Europeans. However, a lot of people do not focus on the West to East skew they mostly focus on the North to South Skew.
