Prove they are fully Iranian.
They pass best in Horn of Africa than in Iran. They look as Iranian as they look Romanian.

They are extremely dark (features + hair type + color) even for Indian standards, let alone Iranian. Maybe they can pass as the ''Iranians'' uninformed westerners imagine , but can't pass in Iran.

Lolz I never said they were fully Iranian or even mostly so; I meant that in terms of nationality/identity and literally copied the descriptions from the Wiki page. The bottom of my post says they are of Afro-Iranian descent. Clearly most of their ancestry is not native Persian haha. I would hope most people would catch that. Just thought it was interesting to classify unusual types in various countries rather than common or typical ones.

I think something roughly Ethiopian or East African isn't a bad description given the mixed background. They were good players from what I hear.

By the way these aren't recent mixes but a community that has been in southern Iran for centuries, since the Arab slave trade. They likely grew up speaking only Iranian for many generations.
