It is well known fact that love at first sight does not exist. But does BFF at first sigh exist?

I think it does. Today I met this guy and the moment I set my eyes on his deep blue eyes, I knew there was something there, like we were brothers or something. He looked a lot like me, he was little shorter but super jacked up, a proper bodybuilder physique. Truly that guy is a bro unlike that shithead I shared a udder with. I think I found my Sundance Kid.

Do you believe BFF at first sight exists?

This is quite interesting. I read this research just some months ago https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29317533
It basically says that humans tend to form social relationships with others who resemble them.

A team of researchers from Stanford, Duke and the University of Wisconsin examined 5,500 American adolescents using data from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health.

After carrying out a series of genetic comparisons between pairs of friends, they found a slew of genetic similarities between them, far more than between pairs who didn't know each other.

They also found that friends were on average around two-thirds as genetically similar as married couples.

This might be because people are drawn to those with whom they have shared characteristics i.e. having similar backgrounds, levels of education or being of a similar height and/or weight.

The researchers describe this process as social homophily.

Anyways, no, it hasn't ever happened to me.

That must be the same reason why I feel so bad everytime a Uruk-hai dies in a lotr movie.

No i don't think that exists, many people even become BFF when initially they were very judgemental to each other.

Is that you on your Avatar? :D

Maybe he's someone you want to be like, or admire for various reasons.... people are "attracted" (in a non-sexual way, I mean) to others who they feel they can learn or benefit from.
