Only unemployment is very common among Gypsies. Well many are fat too, but I don't think fatness, let alone schizophrenia, are typical for Gypsies.

Can be a connection, gypsy societies in general lack discipline which may be needed for you to find a job and to resist food, I've noticed that gypsy kings turn to be abnormaly fat even if most gypsies are skinny likely due to the lack of food. Not a big fan of the word schizophrenia but it can be connected via your attempt to integrate into Austrian society coming from a gypsy background.
