It's a muslim symbol that entered into Jewish mysticism by way of Andalusian Islamic mysticism.

Hexagrams are not exactly difficult to think up.

No, it's not. It's far older than Islam. It's Babylonian.

Doesn't have any religious significance in Judaism, more of an ethnic designator. It's just a neat shape.

It is occult in origin, though.

I have explained in more detail here (https://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?243687-Star-of-David).

Yeah the Star of David is not really a religious symbol, and it has been found through out the ancient world. However yes it's often used in the Occult

It symbolizes the conjunction of the matter and the spirit, very used by kabbalists.

The star of David isn't the star of David it's actually his sons royal seal, Solomon. Geometric shapes like the Swastika and Similar Stars have been used all over and their origins meanings have little to what they mean to others. Judaism is not a religion of imagery, the star of David was imposed by Christians and Muslims as a symbol of recognition, just like the so call medieval "Jewish Hat". Before European persecution and segregation it wasn't even a factor. Jews are Sumerians, Abraham was from Iraq. They wouldn't have just scrubbed their identity clean, they are middle eastern. Jews also survived through their adaptability. Just because names like Morduchai (Mardukhai) and Malachi have pagan condontations doesn't mean they don't have Jewish ones either. Cherry picking one thing doesn't disrupt the totality of it. If you look at Christianity you would be hard pressed to much that isn't Pagan influenced or just plain re-branded. Kabbalah and Judaism are about as related as Salafi schools of thought and Sufism is. They intertwine and places and others they are completely different.
