I thought all Greeks in Anatolia were just Hellenized natives

while YOUR Greece is just an Orthodox component.

I was just being snarky against those who argue that Greeks left no genetic impact in the places they ruled for hundreds of years

How can Anatolians be Hellenized Natives when Greece was settled and inhabited by Anatolians?

Italians are Anatolians
Greeks are Anatolians

Do you Greeks ever read Books like "Geographica" written by Strabon and others?

What I saw there are many Turkish getting Greek component and vice versa. This guy has quite well balanced components of two, I guess his ancient father was Paris and his mother was wife of Menelaos - Helen, lul.

Um, what Turkish component? There weren't any Turks in Priam's Troy.

There weren't any Germanic Franks in Greece prior 12th century... yet today we have plenty.. both autosomal and paternal.

Turks are only those who share their DNA with Kazakh, Mongol and other Turan people... everyone else... Anatolian Hellenes.

If an Albanian get >70% Greek on MyHeritage is he a Greek?

I get 21% Italian and 31% Greek on My Heritage, am I a Greko-Italian?

By the way, My Heritage is bullshit!

MyHeritage is indeed uber bullshit and Balkans there is so stupidly made up.

There are many here who would disagree with your statement - that Greeks and Anatolians are one and the same

That is correct.

I was just saying that theory "Anatolians are mixed with Turks" isn't exclusive for them... for mainland Greeks are mixed with Germanic people who are as foreign as Turks.

So do you believe that in the case of this particular Turkish guy that his Greek ancestry stems from this ancient affinity with Anatolians or more recent, as a result of Greek colonisation?

From Ancient.

Turks conquered Anatolia and Turkfied it.

Look at this:

Demetrios Chalkondyles (1423–1511), referring to an Islamized Christian noble: "... This Mahmud, son of Michael, is Triballian, which means Serbian, by his mother, and Greek by his father."[25] or Mehmed the Conqueror when referring to the plundering of Serbia.[26]

Strabo in Geographica said:

Etruscans are Lydians (Anatolians)

Ionians (who founded Athens) came from Anatolia

Illyrians and Celts (Halstaatt Cultures) are also Hellenic since their ancestor is from Anatolia as well.

Italians, Anatolians and Greeks share J2a and other subclades:

I think that MyHeritage is not good.

Western Asia encompasses Turkey and Iran. I think that Iranians, Turks and other Anatolians are different than each others.

Greek component is also weird. Balkan people such as Albanians come with very high percentage of Greek component. On the other hand, Cypriots are in Greek component as well. As far as I know, Cypriots heavily influenced by Levantines. So, MyHeritage ignores Levantine component as well as Central Asian component in Anatolian Turks.

Even though I didn't pay for the test, just uploaded the data for free, I can agree because my mom who is Northern Russian got like 20% Balkan on MH and I got zero percent! Absolutely no logic behind it.

If you upload your raw data twice, then you get two different results with exact same data.

Even Polish people score 50% Balkan for some reason I score close to 100% and my mother despite being Hungarian is in fact mix of north eastern slavs ( Poles, Bel,UA, SVK) On other sides a perfectly get normal results and not just Balkans. And btw Slovenians score on MyHeritage highest Balkan %

Whatever West Med in Turkey is counted as Greek. It's Neolithic Anatolian admixture that resembles the one present in Balkanites.
