No they're not. They have freckley skin in a weird color that isn't as attractive as regular freckles.

To me they don't necessarily look German but they look Finnish or some sort of Eastern European, which I would consider white, but that is just me. White doesn't really mean anything outside of the New World, and each country has a different standard, with different groups of people within them that also have different standards.

I think looking European is what matters for being "white". But there is an Anglo standard in North America perhaps.
